Standard stainless steel straight wire brackets.
The 'Straight-wire' appliance is the most commonly used form of fixed appliance today. The bracket for each tooth has a unique prescription built into it which allows very precise movements to be achieved relatively simply so that each tooth can be accurately moved into it's correct position.Coloured ligatures may be used to hold the wires in place. These are considered by many as a fashion accessory.
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are made of composite materials. Ceramic braces utilize less noticeable brackets for patients concerned about the appearance of their smile. Ceramic braces are translucent, so they blend in with your natural tooth color.
Self Ligating Braces Smart Clip braces are self-ligating appliances that hold arch wires in place without rubber bands. Smart clip produces a less painful and rapid tooth movement requiring less chairside time and fewer appointments.
Lingual brackets
Special brackets are attached to the inside of the teeth which is not noticeable to others. Patients often find this type of appliance more acceptable.
Micro Screws
The use of Micro-Screws in Orthodontic Anchorage is becoming more and more frequent in both Vestibular and Lingual techniques.
